Mission Statement:
At Eagle View Elementary Library, my mission is to empower every student to become a lifelong learner and inquiring citizen. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically and personally. The library is a safe, brave, and welcoming space where curiosity is encouraged, and every student feels valued and supported.
Through inquiry-based learning and the integration of digital and information technologies, I aim to equip students with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary for the 21st century. By collaborating with teachers, parents, and the broader community, I am striving to create a dynamic Library Learning Commons that is at the heart of the school, promoting literacy, creativity, and a love of learning in all its forms.
My commitment is to inspire and support students in their educational journey, ensuring they have the resources and guidance they need to succeed and flourish in an ever-changing world.
Barb Cave
My name is Barb Cave, and I joined the Eagle View Elementary Library in December 2023. Since then, I have been dedicated to enhancing our Library Learning Commons (LLC). This year, I am eager to collaborate with students and staff to implement a self-checkout system for library books and host a Scholastic Book Fair in October. I am also looking forward to opportunities to work directly with students and classes, and to explore co-teaching with teachers. Together, we can create a vibrant and engaging learning environment for our school community.

Student Projects:
Tie-Dye March 2024:
Choosing to work with textiles and dyes is considered part of the Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies curriculum. The ability to design, make, acquire, and apply skills and technologies is important in today’s world and key to the education of future citizens.
The Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies curriculum builds on students’ natural curiosity, inventiveness, and desire to create and work in practical ways. Creating a makerspace where students can actively participate in the “making” of things provides them with a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, showcasing their work in practical ways allows students to be fully immersed in the process.
